From December 8 to 10, the working group of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy visited Sichuan and discussed with Sichuan Province on matters related to Germany being the guest country of honor of the 16th WCIF. The working group is led by Schdop, Director of the East Asian Economic Relations Office, and Schmitz, Director of the MICE Policy and Exhibitor Affairs Office, and relevant personnel participated by the German Consul General in Chengdu, Deutsche Messe AG, the Trade & Investment Agency of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the AHK Greater China .
On the morning of December 10, Vice Governor Gan Lin met with the delegation. A working group led by Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs, composed of relevant representatives from Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce, Sichuan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, and Sichuan Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau negotiated with the German delegation on the preparatory work for the guest country of honor. In addition, the delegation also visited the venues, hotels and other facilities of the 16th WCIF.
