On June 22nd, Vice Governor of the People’s Government of Sichuan Province Li Gang led a team to visit Leshan City and inspect the development of the crystalline silicon photovoltaic (PV) industry. Meanwhile, Li Gang attended the Crystalline Silicon PV Industrial Development Symposium, at which Li stressed that Leshan City should steadfastly implement the decisions and deployments of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, make innovations and breakthroughs, coordinate resources, and take pragmatic actions to promote high-quality development of “China Green Silicon Valley” industry. During his inspection to Leshan City Wutongqiao District PV Park, Li Gang paid visits to GCL Project, Sichuan Yongxiang New Energy Co., Ltd., JYT Project, and Jinko Solar Technology Limited in succession, and he learned about details in respect of project progress, product market, corporate R & D, and industrial chain support, etc. Later, Li Gang attended the Crystalline Silicon PV Industrial Development Symposium, at which he heard work reports and opinions & suggestions, and researched and deployed the promotion measures. Li Gang pointed out that in accordance with the deployment of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, Leshan quickened its pace to push ahead with construction of “China Green Silicon Valley”, and the crystalline silicon PV industry has seen sound development momentum. 

 

Against this backdrop, Leshan should have faith in the industrial development, make full research and judgement on the new round of industrial change trend, seize opportunities, and plan ahead of schedule, in an effort to occupy a seat in the national deployment on carbon emissions peak and carbon neutrality. Li noted that Leshan should make concerted efforts and innovations to promote the industry’s high-quality development. In addition, Leshan should stress improvement of basic research capability and make breakthroughs in key technologies, as well as promote “Industry-University-Research” joint innovation while taking the enterprise as the priority. In terms of establishment of the platform for commercialization of achievements, the government should do well the service and give policy supports, in order to improve the industry’s core competitiveness in a down-to-earth manner. Leshan should manage the overall work with new development notion, as well as make project list in such areas as improvement of innovative ability, incubation of industrial chain, factor guarantee, market environment, and technical route, etc. By doing so, Leshan City will have clear industrial development orientation and can enact pertinent policies. Also, Leshan should keep building favorable business environment, and resolve problems for enterprises on a timely and effective basis.
